Some of you might think I have a fixation for graveyards, hmmmm, maybe. My wife was driving and spotted the sunset in her rearview mirror. She turned the car around and pulled into a church parking lot. There I was and here it is. Very metaphoric, don’t you think?

Time for a classic. This was shot in 1977 in Los Angeles, at my friend Reed’s apartment. The bird had flown in before the glass patio door was closed. He was trying to leave when Reed’s cat, Roone, came home and spotted him. I had a long lens on my old Minolta and was forced to a far corner of the room, standing on a couch, to get far enough back to fit them both in the frame. I love the expression on the bird’s face.
