Stormy Peak - Virgin, Utah - August 2, 2007

Virgin, Utah – August 2, 2007

I was looking through my archives for an image to share for today, and discovered this gem. It has never been seen by anyone.

This was shot with my old Olympus E-20 digital camera ( a mere 4.7 megapixels), back in 2007. The conversion to black and white really brings out the clouds and emphasizes the various layered textures in the image.

Glad you guys really appreciate the classic black and white photography. Have a good weekend. It will be raining here in Philly.
Another photograph on Monday, after all it is my daily photograph.

Light Breaks through in Virgin - Virgin, Utah - March 9, 2009

Virgin, Utah – March 9, 2009

This photograph was taken one year ago, today. It is the view from my friend’s backyard, toward Zion National Park. He a lucky guy to live there and I am a lucky guy to be able to visit. We were partners in a freelance photography business , in the 60s, when we were 18. We still have a great time going on photographic expeditions. Thank you, Jeff, you are a true friend.

Here is a link to Jeff & Patti Lewis’ website. Patti is a very talented artist/muralist/sculpter.

Lancaster County - Blue Ball, Pennsylvania - February 28, 2010

Lancaster County – Blue Ball, Pennsylvania – February 28, 2010

Now for something a little different. Sunday I headed to Lancaster County to shoot the full moon rising. While we were waiting for the moonrise, my wife wanted to stop at the Flower Warehouse. While she was inside, I decided to wander around outside and found this scene. I was thinking of making it antique-looking, but there was something about the light and color I wanted to preserve.

Hope you like it.
